From NHS Estates to houses families stay in

  1. 2001Timber Frame Houses. The start of 25 years in construction.
  2. 2006Architecture.
  3. 2009NHS Estates, CAD technician to Estates Officer.
  4. 2017First house: a bungalow in Dawlish, done up in evenings and weekends.
  5. October 2019A free property seminar, and "a huge burning desire to leave the rat race".
  6. June 2020Refinanced the bungalow and left the NHS. Property full time. NRLA accredited.
  7. 2022First house in the north east.
  8. 2022 to todayTired and empty houses across the north east, pre-auction and direct from owners, one proper refurb at a time, every one let to a family who stays.
  9. February 2024Parker Living Limited.
  10. 2025First talks, online for UK Property Network Live. CyclingWithEd starts.
  11. 2026Into double figures. On stage at The Alma, London (May) and Devon PIN, Exeter (September). RenacidaMods goes public.

Who is Ed Parker?

I'm a property investor and speaker based in Exeter. Through Parker Living Limited I buy tired and empty houses across the north east of England, mostly south of the Tyne, refurbish them properly and let them to families who stay. Before property I spent 19 years in construction: Timber Frame Houses, Architecture, then NHS Estates. I've been accredited with the NRLA since 2020. I also run the CyclingWithEd YouTube channel and RenacidaMods, a PC game modding project.

Where do you buy houses?

Across the north east: Sunderland, Seaham, Peterlee, Durham, Chester-le-Street, Washington, Gateshead, South Shields, parts of Newcastle and the towns and villages in between. I live in Exeter but buy in the north east, where the numbers work. Every town and village is on Parker Living's Where I buy page.

Where are the cycling videos?

On YouTube at CyclingWithEd: group rides and solo rides around Devon, uncut, with speed, power and heart rate on screen, plus short highlights. The clips are on Instagram and TikTok as @cyclingwithed, and the rides are on Strava.

What is RenacidaMods?

My side project bringing classic PC games back to life on modern hardware. The first is Magic Carpet 2 HD (Bullfrog, 1995), running at 85 to 120 frames per second at 4K at the game's normal speed, as a free add-on for your own copy of the game. FAT3D (Fatal Racing) is next. Everything is at renacidamods.edparker.uk and on GitHub.
